APC Picks Nagogo for Dawakin Kudu/Warawa By-Polls

KANO — The All Progressives Congress has adopted Alhaji Shu’aibu Rabiu Nagogo Gano as its consensus candidate for the forthcoming House of Representatives by-election in Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State.
The decision was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held by the party in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, where party leaders, delegates, elders and supporters gathered to deliberate on the by-election.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of Dawakin Kudu Local Government, Murtala Umar Kawo, the meeting was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner.
The statement noted that party leaders and aspirants engaged in consultations and discussions before unanimously settling for Nagogo as the party’s flagbearer for the by-polls.
Chairman of Dawakin Kudu Local Government, Alhaji Sani Ahmed Mai Rago, commended party members for what he described as their maturity, unity and loyalty throughout the process.
He said the consensus arrangement reflected the party’s commitment to peaceful internal democracy and collective political interest ahead of the election.
Speaking after his emergence, Nagogo expressed appreciation to party leaders, delegates and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He promised to work for the unity and development of Dawakin Kudu and Warawa communities.
He also called on members of the APC across the constituency to remain united and mobilise support to ensure the party’s victory in the forthcoming by-election.
