Kano South 2027: Why Bataiya Stands as the Right Man for the Job
By Hassan Ahmed Rogo
Kano South Senatorial District is the agricultural and commercial heartbeat of Kano State. From Albasu to Tudun Wada, Rogo to Sumaila, our 16 LGAs need a senator who understands both the boardroom and the bush path.
As 2027 approaches, the contest for Kano South cannot be about recycled names. It must be about capacity. That is why Alh. Kassim Ibrahim Bataiya  is the suitable candidate to represent Kano South in the Senate.
Kano South has the youngest population in Nigeria’s most populous state. We don’t need another senator sharing motorcycles.
We need one who will push for federal bills that will translate into Projects, Youth and Women empowerment and above all irrigation schemes in Karaye, Bebeji and Rano-Wudil-Gaya River bank side project that will ultimately boost Socio-Economic activities not only in Kano South and Kano State  but also to reflect our GDP
Bataiya comes from a different school.
As National President of NARTO, he negotiated freight rates that keep food and fuel moving across Nigeria. When PMS scarcity threatened the economy in 2016, he backed bold deregulation and worked with NNPC to stabilize supply.
That is crisis Management at national scale. Kano South needs a senator who has solved national logistics problems,to help and support our traders and their commodities reaches Markets across the country because our tomatoes  and Onions in Kwanar Dangora ,our  Cattle trucks from Wudil and our Rice  and Grains in Tudun Wada mets with numerous logistic challenges ranging from  bad roads, unfavourable market forces and Taxes-related challenges  before reaching to the Market.
Bataiya’s innovation in NARTO was simple but powerful,  Merging NEC and State Chairmen in joint meetings to “resolve problems and chart new paths”.
That ended the top-down culture that cripples many associations, Bataiya’s model means he will institutionalize “Kano South Senatorial Stakeholders Council” that is bringing together the  Communities leaders, Farmers,  Traders and other critical stakeholders with one Goal to Move Kano south forward like never before.  Bataiya already preaches diversification and modernization to thousands of transport owners. He will preach it on the Senate floor.
Bataiya is a  Home-Grown and Pan-Kano South and a rare candidate who is 100% local yet nationally respected, born and raised in Bataiya in Albasu local Government of Kano State, Bataiya’s base is in every LGA that moves goods, His campaign will not be bus crowds from one LGA ,  His members are already in every nooks and cranny of not only Kano South, but in the entire Nation.
For many years, Kano South has tested loyalty to Names. the Verdict is written on our broken Roads, Dry Dams and idle youth,  Senate is for lawmaking, oversight, and federal negotiation. Dr. Kassim Ibrahim Bataiya has made laws for an industry, provided oversight on billions in petroleum distribution, and negotiated with the highest levels of government.
Kano South does not need a former senator trying to return nor do we need Waraka pet Projects, What we needs is a national operator ready to serve, Come  2027, the choice is between yesterday’s Records of performance and tomorrow’s capacity not incumbency, Bataiya enters with clean hands and a national Rolodex.
Kano South Forward.
