2027: Yakasai Rallies Support After High-Level Meeting with Atiku Abubakar

By Ahmad Tijjani Abdul

KANO — Frontline ADC stalwart, Salihu Tanko Yakasai says he has intensified mobilisation efforts for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following a high-level meeting with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Yakasai told Newsmen in Kano that the high profile
meeting which held on Wednesday was a strategic engagement focused on strengthening political alignment and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the discussion also centred on youth participation in politics and ongoing efforts to expand ADC membership across the country.

According to him, “I had a special meeting with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri of Adamawa, where I was warmly received into the ADC family.”

Yakasai added that he informed the former Vice President about his ongoing drive to encourage young people to register and actively participate in the party’s activities.

He stated, “I have been mobilising youths to join the ADC and register through the official platform as part of efforts to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.”

Yakasai further noted that discussions also covered long-term political planning aimed at positioning the ADC for electoral success in 2027 “from top to bottom, by the grace of God.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to political collaboration and described the meeting as part of a broader effort to build what he called a “strong and united political movement” ahead of the next general elections.
